Flat Jackson goes to Germantown for Thanksgiving

Flat Jackson left Camden, Alabama and drove to Germantown, TN to see his Uncle, Aunt and cousins. Its is a good thing he got there there the day before Thanksgiving. He had to carve the turkey Thanksgiving day! It's a good thing Flat Jackson knew how to carve. And, boy, did Flat Stanley do a good job of carving. You too can learn to carve by following these simple instructions. An important thing about carving is that you have to use a knife. Knives are useful tools but can also be very dangerous. Here are some simple safety rules all of us can observe when we are around knives.

His aunt did a good job cooking too. For Thanksgiving dinner, we had turkey, ham, peas, mashed potatoes, yam casserole, broccoli cheese casserole, corn, gravy, stuffing, 5 types of bread and pecan and pumpkin pie. Yum Yum!

Here is Flat Jackson waiting patiently for that wonderful meal. We said a prayer of thanks too, just like the Pilgrims did that first Thanksgiving in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
